Re-opening a request.

Need one more document after closing a request? Re-opening is straightforward and preserves everything that was already collected.

How to re-open

Go to /dashboard/?v=requests and use the filter to show Archived requests. Find the request you want to re-open and click into it. In the request detail view, click Re-open Request. The request moves back to your Open list immediately.

What happens when you re-open

  • All previously uploaded files are preserved exactly as they were
  • Your client's upload link becomes active again
  • The reminder sequence restarts from the beginning (you can adjust or disable this from the request settings)
  • You can add new items or update existing ones before notifying your client

Notifying your client

Re-opening a request doesn't automatically send your client a new email. After re-opening, click Resend Link to send them a fresh invitation with the updated document list. You can also add a personal message to explain what you need.

Consider adding a noteWhen re-opening for one specific item, add a note in your message to the client so they know exactly what to upload and don't worry about re-submitting everything.
